WinMount is a Windows utility which helps you manage your compressed archives impressively and conveniently. With WinMount, you can mount ZIP, RAR or ISO file to a new drive so that you can use those files inside directly. You don’t need to extract them first which implies that lots of time and disk space would be saved under many circumstances.

WinMount has already been in support of mounting ZIP, RAR, ISO, BIN, CUE and MDF formats.(besides that, we also plan supporting mounting a folder to a virtual drive).

For instance, you can mount a ZIP file ,say “c:\dir\1.zip” to a newly created virtual drive. After you execute the corresponding command(File->Mount->Mount Files) in the menu, your operating system will immediately notify you that a new device has been found, and a drive letter say H: will be assigned to it. when the mounting process is finished, you can find all the original files inside that zip file under H:. If you find some sort of another RAR file say 2.rar in H:, don’t worry, this RAR file still can be second-mounted to another drive say I:, hence we can play the hot.avi(we assume that it exists in 2.rar) directly.

VirtualDrive Pro is a CD emulator that copies a CD or unprotected DVD as a compressed image, or “virtual disc,” which you can play in place of the original disc in any one of up to 23 “virtual drives” created by the software. Virtual discs can be shared over a network or transported on a laptop computer, a USB device, or other external media. They run directly on the hard drive, saving wear and tear on your CD-ROM drive and extending the battery life of laptop computers. They have access speeds nearly 200 times faster than their CD-ROM counterparts, greatly improving the performance of PC games, photo CDs, and disc-based applications.

VirtualDrive Pro’s simple, intuitive interface makes it easy to create custom virtual CDs containing favorite tracks, expansion packs, documentation, and custom programs, and manage them in a searchable library. You can run as many virtual discs simultaneously as you have available virtual drive letters, moving from one PC game or application to another without having to swap out CDs or wait for loaded discs to spin up. VirtualDrive Pro copies an entire CD or DVD as a compressed disc-image file, or virtual disc. A driver in the software fools Windows into treating the virtual disc as a physical CD or DVD in a CD-ROM drive.

You can create up to 23 virtual drives (D: through Z:) and an unlimited number of virtual discs. Once VirtualDrive Pro has copied a CD, a virtual image of that disc appears in the software interface.
